Interconnectness -
The World About Us
My exhibition is about interconnectedness, this is to show the connection between humans no matter race, religion, gender or background - this is our shared humanity and what connects us rather than dividing us. The connection between humans and our shared environment - this can be through the climate crisis, our neighbourhoods or towns we share. The connection between humans and animals - this can be evolution, urban nature, our pets and even animals like carrier pigeons. Our shared world is tightly interconnected and all life in our world and in space shares this connection. My exhibition is a reminder of these connections that can so easily be forgotten.
What We’re looking for from artists:
I am looking for work that fits the theme of interconnectness and what you see this as. For humans it could be the hands of different races holding. For animals it could show the evolution of humans from animals. For the environment it could be the lungs of a human with tree roots for the airways. I would love to see creative expressions of this theme and how even our varied artwork can connect us.

I am a fully self taught artist (apart from taking GCSE Art), I love to dabble in all art forms but have recently been trying to improve my drawing and painting skills. I care deeply about the environment and our connection to other humans and nature. I feel that my project shines a light on the different connections and how we are all connected through our shared environment. I create in my garden or in my living room with the help of my trusty assistant (a lazy ragdoll cat!).
Why did you want to get involved with SWAF26?
I have always had a passion for art but have been waiting for the "right moment" to start creating again. I saw this opportunity and thought it was the perfect moment to take the plunge and push myself to try something new!
